How to keep records

Tired of crossing out and erasing in your address book? use index cards instead and store them in a file box. Write in your friends' red letter days and the names of their children--so that you'll be reminded when you call or visit. When there are changes, you can make out a new card in a snap.

write emergency telephone numbers on a red card and put it in the front of your card file where it will be available with minimum of fumbling. Likewise, use the blue cards (or some other distinctive color) for plumbers, electricians, babysitters, and all the other household services you use frequently.
